Values

Team 48 takes the responsibility of spending dozens of hours with your child seriously. We understand that we can have an influence on your child in a way a parent may not. Team 48 desires to create positive relationships centered around honesty, integrity and a genuine interest in the individual outside of lacrosse.

Team 48 will not compromise sportsmanship or teamwork to get that one more win. At some point lacrosse ends and there will be many lessons that we hope to share with your child on how to handle the ups and downs of life. We also desire to be there to support our student-athletes far beyond the field—nothing beats a holiday card or grabbing lunch with a former player!

Team 48 believes the following are MORE important than our program:

  • Family

  • Academics

  • Faith

  • Your local lacrosse club— if there’s a conflict, always choose your local team

While Team 48 will offer lacrosse opportunities for our student-athletes year round, we strongly encourage your child to play another sport! We purposely schedule on Sunday afternoons so your son can play for their school/community team during the weekday and Saturday and then attend Team 48 on Sundays*. Multi-sport athletes make better lacrosse players!

*During the school year we will practice on weekends for our students to focus on academics. In some instances, we will practice on a Saturday morning due to a holiday on Sunday. During the summer, we will attempt to schedule practices during the week so families can enjoy their time together over the weekend.
